Sheik Mohammed Al-Fassi |
 |
This nobleman from Saudi Arabia, kept over a hundred stray cats in his Florida mansion.
He employed a private vet and a large staff to look after them, in a suite of seven rooms.
When he discovered that some of the cats were being put to sleep when they were
unwanted, he vowed to stop this, and even had doomed cats flown to his mansion from other American
cities. Sadly, Al-Fassi died in Cairo of an infected hernia in 2002, at the age
of 50.
