The Cosmic Anisotropy Telescope |
CAT (Cosmic Anisotropy Telescope), is a radio telescope specifically
designed to make detailed pictures of relic radiation. The telescope is
surrounded by a 5 metre high earth bank lined with aluminium to form a
ground shield. The CAT was design by physicists near Cambridge, UK.
The pictures from CAT show detail fine enough to see the features in
the early universe that turn into groups of galaxies.
