Andy Warhol lived an outrageous lifestyle with much publicity, but unknown by the general public was his love of cats. Two years after his death this was made known by the publication of two cat books written and illustrated by Warhol in the 1950s, with sketches of his own cats Hester and Sam. Only 190 numbered copies of these books were printed exclusively for his friends.
